Yes, temperature is the main factor in effectiveness of the sauna. The health center sauna I use is monitored and facilitated by sport physicians. They keep it automatically monitored in 70 Celsius degree for optimal benefit. I sometimes use infrared sauna in another center and they keep it for 60 C. There are additional benefits from using the infrared saunas which I plan to cover in another article.
