Yes, seeing such a figure could be very inspiring for a new writer. Recently earnings significantly dropped for majority. It looks like membership earnings go to special stories Medium favours. For example a few months ago a sex education story earned $15K which was more than earnings of 30 days of hundreds of writers contributing to my best publication Illumination-Curated which I had to close. I wrote a heartfelt story about it as it does not make sense to me. There is a massive dichotomy in distribution of income.
