When I was following a vegetarian diet in my younger years, I had severe B12 deficiency and needed to supplement as B12 is another critical nutrient for the body and the brain. There is nothing wrong to supplement with essential nutrients when needed and advised by healthcare professionals. Some ketogenic diet followers who eat lots of leafy green vegetables do not supplement with magnesium. However, some people like me who cannot consume enough plants need to do find alternative ways to get this critical mineral. In my opinion, health is not a political matter.
