This situation is utterly absurd, Mike. I simply cannot believe that any reasonable writer would produce 15 stories a day. In all my years mentoring thousands of writers, I have never encountered anyone attempting such a feat. The highest number I have seen was 10 short-form stories in 2021 when Medium first introduced them—but that was only a challenge for about 20 writers, and most couldn't complete it.

It is becoming clear that the new Medium support team is fabricating issues. I have been discussing this bug problem with Jordan for over six years, and he has openly admitted multiple times that it was a bug that has been escalated to the engineering team. Perhaps Medium has let go of Jordan, just like Ariel and Buster, which would explain the lack of accountability.

This is becoming incredibly frustrating. I have already asked the helpdesk agent to escalate the matter to their supervisor, and I hope Brittany, the Chief of Staff, sees this message and takes immediate action to stop this nonsense.

If any writer does manage to post 15 stories a day, it’s a clear sign of fraudulent activity from Medium’s software. I have never seen any writer in my thousands of protégés write more than five stories a day—writing 15 stories is simply impossible unless they are one-paragraph pieces or AI-generated

Thank you for addressing this issue so clearly and passionately Mike. I feel very sorry for our volunteer editors who pour their hearts and souls to clean the garbage in this spammy site and Medium itself not pulling its weight and putting arbitrary rules and now manufacturing things to defend their faulty processes and even known bugs. This is not acceptable and not professional in my opinion.
