This is a profound observation. I used to deny and undermine the importance of promotion using perception of the public giving a negative meaning to self-promotion. This experienced gave me a new perspective and reframe self-promotion as visibility to our creativity. As she wisely pointed out if we don't create visiblity our audience would not know about it and we won't get a chance to connect.
