However, I believe you may have missed some nuances of my post indicating that I shouldn't have written this post and just accept the status quo even if it is unfair and wrong. This isn’t merely about a writer seeking more views. I am way beyond that being on this platform for 5 years after posting 2500 stories and reviewing thousands of stories as an editor. It’s about a writer with over 100K followers and a publication with 82K followers receiving zero views for a specific type of story designed for Friends of Medium, which consistently result in poor performance requiring clarification from algorithmic standpoint. Are you suggesting this is perfectly normal and reflects reality? If so, we have different perspectives, and that’s fine. I hold no judgment. Additionally, I wrote this story from a reader's perspective, paying three times more for a subscription and not seeing value in the content being amplified on the platform. What I mean as a FoM I see high impact stories dimmed and low impact ones amplified. My perspective represents hundreds of Friends of Medium paying 3 times more than standard members. Perhaps, since you are not a FoM, you missed this critical point. I encourage you to read the key points of the story with an open mind, considering both the writer's and reader's viewpoints which are validated by editors and publication owner's points.
