Gut microbiome has been a great interest to me for many years.
It is still a mysteries topic. There appears to be some hype.
From personal experience point of view, paradoxically, after changing to a zero fiber / zero-carb diet, and giving up all prebiotics and probiotics such as kefir, saurkraft, inulin, green vegetables, kimchi, fruits etc, all my gut symptoms disappeared. In addition my autoimmune conditions such as arthritis miraculously healed and my brain fog disappeared.
