Thank you for this great feedback Bridget Webber. I updated those minor typos. I will consider the language tool you recommend. My spell check program did not pick the term “flue”, and it was obliviously in my blind-spot because did not notice it until you mentioned it.

To extend your topic, I read many curated articles, especially in the technical field. Some of them have more language errors than this one. Of course, this is not a justification for poor language. However, a curator can easily update a few minor things in useful content presented to Medium readers. Or they could request the writer to get it edited and resubmitted.

Realistically, I found typos even in the New York Times Best Selling books and Tier 1 academic journal papers, so it cannot be a showstopper for Medium.

For example, on ILLUMINATION community, some of our writers and editors are volunteering to review, proofread and even edit some articles. This new initiative is useful for some writers, especially for those who are from non-English speaking backgrounds.
