Thank you for sharing your valuable experiences which resonated well with me. As I pointed out clearly classical or mainstream mediation techniques might not work for everyone. But there are so many options. In fact, you are doing meditation unknowingly.

I am glad you mentioned hypnagogia as I studied it and am practicing it occasionally for creative endeavors and solve my sticky issues.

Meditation practices that specifically aim to initiate lucid dreaming or dream-like states, like Tibetan Dream Yoga, can also provide a pathway to access hypnagogic experiences.

You inspired me to write about this remarkable cognitive ability.

Last year I wrote a piece using this tool to gain visions about the future.

When in deep meditation, I kept reminding myself to stay in the gamma state as it would be impossible to tune into the signals of this cognitive domain. My mind tended to produce delta waves in this relaxed state. I tried not to go into a deep sleep state.
