Thank you for sharing your experience so generously. I am glad you make a decision to start OMAD lifestyle which is one of the best things in my lifestyle.
I drink around five liters of water during my fasted state of 22 hour and did not notice any issues. In my experience two important factors in fasted states are resting and water to stay hydrated. I put a few tiny pieces of pink salt in my water as I am on zero carbs diet so my body get rids of sodium too quickly. If I don’t consume enough salt I feel my energy levels go down very quickly. I am glad to learn about it when I first time suffered from the keto flu. Salt and magnesium fixed it.
In my opinion, weight really does not matter. What really matter is fat percentage and waistline. They are predictor of insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome. I posted an article about it recently.
However fluid retention and bloating can be symptoms of underlying conditions such as leaky gut causing inflammation and allergies. I recommend you discuss with your doctor if you feel constantly bloated.
After I fixed my leaky gut years ago, my bloating disappeared. I was skinny but my belly was bulging. I shared my experience in an article.
The best exercise in my earlier days was gentle walks.
I hope you enjoy OMAD. I’d love to read your experiences. Let’s stay in touch. I try to post an article a day usually related to health, mental health, fitness and lifestyle. All the best in your health journey.
