Thank you for sharing your experience. I also tried up to 20K steps and found it very helpful when I was having metabolic issues. Nowadays I stick to my regular 10K steps barefoot walk on the beach or grass which gives me desired fitness and joy. Yes, sleep is a bonus of long distance walking.
