New writers need to start from somewhere and need encouragement to grow. So there is no better platform for this purpose.

Even for experienced writers, there is no better platform allowing writers to self-publish and gain an audience in the process.

The only alternative is building our own platform with subscribers. However, this process requires experience and a lot of hard work. In short, no platform will spoon-feed freelance writers. We need to take our personal responsibility for our growth and leverage the power of available resources.

To this end, I see Medium as only a tool for this goal. It is not more than that, so we must set our expectations realistically and not get disappointed.
