Spot on! These things are suggest to Medium for years and they are aware of them. But they can hardly manage their most basic product, membership. Unfortunately they failed FoM as it couldn't deliver. I was an ardent supporter for 12 months brining at least 500 FoMs. What did they do? They put me in distribution jail like thousands of writers contributing to my platform. As you say Medium has so many opportunities but it requires, vision, diligence, innovation, and good communication with stake holders transparently. Medium is acting in firefighting mode not getting any feedback in fact discouraging and penalizing those who provide constructive feedback. It was one of the reasons I resigned from privileged boost nomination program and even closed my best publication. Medium should act like Substack which constantly innovates and support its creators. The only reasons I still stay on this platform is I love the community I built here. However if Medium continues to act like this I will have no choice but close all my publications and build my own platform. We have now a pilot program happening.
