Sorry to hear about your story. Please don't take it personal as even very high quality stories don't get much views from topics. A curated story I put 3 hours of effort took fewer than fifty views and an uncurated one received serveral thousand. I believe Medium is updating the topics page linking it to the tags pages hopefully our curated stories can take more views.
