Sleep duration vary person to person. However, literature indicates that most adults need minimum seven hours of sleep. In my younger years, I used to sleep 5 hours or even less and they created havoc in my health raising my cortisol levels. It might be useful to get your hormones especially cortisol get checked as elevated cortisol levels in the long term might cause serious health conditions.
