Is that how you feel :-) I felt like that shaming us who we were when I heard not a good fit statement.
Suppose a professional marketing agent is undertaking this survey. In that case, they should have provided the purpose in the opening of this study designed for specific age groups and geographies to achieve XYZ goals.
As pointed out by several commenters, the issue is if we are out of that scope, why people are receiving such a survey and all get disappointed.
Wearing an ethics hat in my advanced research in academia, this survey does not seem to fit the criteria. If the Medium internal team did it, they need to learn more about conducting research and taking advanced research lessons, particularly on ethics and dealing with international and mixed-age customers.
I was wondering how this research study passed the ethics committee and approved by the leadership team.
This is not just a simple issue. It is an issue close to the hearts of the creators who make them. Simply put, no creators, no Medium.
