In this context I can say one minute or even one second to answer your specific question. As soon as you self-publish it disqualifies for 99% of publications. We accepted them for the last 4 years but not anymore because if a story is self-published and added to a pub it does not perform. Yes evergreen stories in many platforms are valuable. They used to be on Medium as well. When I established Illumination-Curated I curated around 500 old stories and at least 20% of them went viral. But as of July 2023 Medium changed the algorithm and anything older than a month does not get any views because algorithm does not seem to distribute them. Even the boosted stories once we believed to be be evergreen now gets ZERO views. That is one of the reasons I am now moving my personal pub Euphoria to my my own website as it lost 90% of views.
