I really like this empowered reader perspective, Jo. You articulated the intention of my stories and writing.

As you might have noticed from my delivery and style, I never recommend anything from my life or others. I only depict the picture based on my research and experience and show as many options as possible so that readers can make their own decisions with unbiased knowledge.

I feel the same about my family doctors. The way I communicated with them 50 years ago and now is very different.

I used to believe everything in my younger years and religiously do them and suffer consequences. When I started time-restricted eating, I never forgot a family doctor who confused ketosis and ketoacidosis and warned me to stop entering ketosis. That conversation shook my confidence and inspired me to take personal responsibility for my health.

Nowadays, I inform my family doctor what I need and use them to validate my hypotheses.

Sometimes they even have no clue about my points as they did not learn innovative topics in medical school as part of the conventional curriculum. Open-minded doctors start learning from my research and empower their patients. I see it as a big win for society.

Thank you for reading my perspectives and keeping the dialogue open. I am grateful for our communication.
