I completely agree - fiber is actually an anti-nutrient, which has been well-documented in nutrition science.

While we may be able to genetically engineer fiber to make it a nutrient in the future, we are not there yet.

I have personally followed a zero-fiber diet for many years. It has greatly benefited my microbiome, cellular health, metabolism, and mental health - as confirmed by reliable health consultants.

When I used to consume excessive carbs and fiber, I felt miserable.

While plant fiber may work for some people, it is not suitable for everyone. I have written an article detailing my perspectives on fiber, which I link here as a reference for your readers.

Here’s Why Plant Fiber Is Not a One-Size-Fits-All Solution

"While plant fibers may benefit some individuals, they might not be suitable for everyone and might even contribute to digestive and inflammatory conditions for some."

After thoroughly reviewing many peer-reviewed papers on plant fibers, I, like Dr. Mason, Dr. Saladino, Dr. Georgia Ede and many more scientists, have concluded that plant fibers are not essential for everyone.

People who consume healthy animal-based diets, including you and me, can survive and thrive without consuming fiber.

Theories from genetic engineering cannot change this experiential evidence. But of course, vegetarians, vegans, or perhaps omnivores will need fiber as they have different microbiomes depending on plant molecules.

Anthropological studies have shown that Eskimos and other tribes who were carnivores have thrived for generations with diets containing near zero carbs (except a little sugar from the liver) and zero fiber.

Those semi-scientific papers that claim fiber as essential are either emotionally attached to it, like I used to be, or have reasons other than health.

I also shared my experience with replacing carbs with healthy fats, which transformed my life.

Here’s What Happened When I Replaced Carbs with Healthy Fats for Two Decades.

Thank you for articulating this point based on your experience and leveraging credible sources. I hope one day we stop our emotional attachment to overrated anti-nutrients and look at nutrition with logic and experience.
