I agree with your findings. When we are sleeping and not eating the body is in the fasted state as no insulin spikes happen. Usually 12 hour window is great for mild ketosis if one is on low carb diets. The autopagy process is believed to happen after 18 hours when glycogen stores consume and body start producing ketones as alternative energy source. BDNf can be activiated through exercise as well.
