I agree with this statement by the Italian government as it produces incorrect information and causes confusion. It also makes up things confidently misleading people as I pointed out in my story about it.

For example, ChatGPT thinks that one of our celebrity writers died in 2016. When I asked who owns Illumination, it said Tim Denning :-) I will write a story about it with similar striking examples.

I didn't know other countries banned ChatGPT too but I heard some schools in the US banned it.

Yes some people support Italy banning ChatGPT but others think as an attack on freedom of information. It is impossible to make everyone happy in this world.
