Hi Mike, thank you for your valuable and inspiring feedback. Those medical professionals are absolutely right.

In health, any elevated enzyme, hormone, or vitamin in the body can potentially have adverse effects. A prime example is cortisol, a critical hormone that, when elevated, can lead to serious health problems, as I personally experienced during my younger years. The same principle applies to vitamin B12 – when deficient, it can cause significant neurological issues, and when excessively elevated, it can become toxic to the body.

Therefore, a balanced and optimized approach to all biochemicals in the body is crucial, a delicate equilibrium naturally monitored and controlled by our systems. However, certain health conditions can disrupt this balance, resulting in either deficiencies or excessive amounts of these biochemicals.

This concept also extends to nitric oxide. It can indeed be measured through blood and saliva tests, and there are even home test kits available for asthma patients. I'd suggest discussing this with your family physician, who can order such tests if they suspect an elevated situation.

It's important to note that nitric oxide and nitrates are sometimes confused by the public, but they have distinct roles and implications.

Nitrates are molecules found in certain foods and can be converted into nitric oxide within the body. Excessive nitrate consumption might lead to serious health conditions.

Nitric oxide, on the other hand, is a gaseous signaling molecule that plays a critical role in various physiological processes, particularly in regulating blood vessel tone and facilitating healthy blood flow.

In the end, it's all about maintaining that delicate balance for optimal well-being.
