Hi Melissa Speed I respect your decision to leave our publication.

However, as a Medium writer colleague and representing the same community, I want to converse with you.

The owner is reviewing over 700 articles a day and promoting work of 3, 200+ writers relentlessly.

The owner strongly supports the LGBTQiA community and writers. He is not homophobic. He embraces all sexual types proudly.

If you were a writer on ILLUMINATION you should have noticed the owner’s commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusiveness followed by 28K readers.

Like anyone else the owner is a human being and not perfect. Anyone can make a mistake. Besides, Medium allows writers to change their content after publishing. How do you expect the owner to check 30,000 stories.

Let’s be realistic before blaming and creating a drama for a single article which sneaked like coranavirus. This is life.

Medium is full of illegal articles. Should we all leave Medium?

And as LGBTQIA community we need to focus on the real issues on content rather than the peripherals.

Giving names and creating allegations does not help.

To be specific for this case:

The article was removed, delisted, reported to Medium and the author removed. What else do you expect from a publication?

Here is my commitment to LGBTQIA community.

Hope you enjoy our collection.

If you want to come back, our doors are always open.
