Hi Juana, thank you for your inspiring and uplifting comments. Your kind words mean a lot to me. Getting to a fat-adapted state takes a while and depends on several factors. Both nutrition and exercise play a critical role. However exercise and nutrition are individual matters. Yes, I am aware of Dr Esselstyn’s work in fact I used to follow his plant based advice being a vegetarian for several years which ruined my health when I was younger. While I respect his research and his ideas might relate to some body types it did not work with my genetic makeup and metabolic profile. I am glad to learn there was not one type of diet for anyone. He believes that plant based diets cure diseases. However many distinguished researchers and anthropologists proved the other way as our ancestors thrived with animal based diets in our evolution. Being open minded to different perspectives is a wise approach. I found Dr Steven Phiney’s work more inspiring and relevant in my health journey. He is an MD and PhD. You can find his practical teachings on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IEuhp8RFMU

Some people thrive in animal based and some in plant based diets. It is an individual matter. Unfortunately, some people make it a political issue. I only look at from health and well-being perspectives so don’t discuss the political part. Our health is not a political matter.
