However, I am deeply concerned that such a lovely story, published on ILLUMINATION, one of Medium's biggest publications, received only 11 views. It is likely that the humorous cover image looks off-putting, and I assume human curators did not choose it for that reason, as I did not find any fault when Aiden shared the draft story with me during our early morning Facetime call. I invited him for a coffee (which I don't drink), but he politely declined due to his heavy workload as a consultant and volunteer editor. I hope Medium's support team can fix this algorithm glitch, as it does not serve the readers as intended. There is no way Medium would intentionally overlook such a beautiful story, as readers would love it just as much as we do.
