For urgent cases I opened a communication channel in on top of my publication and gave a link called INQUIRIES on the top ILLUMINATION pub banner. Besides in the last 6 years I offered free and moderated Slack workspace but only 25K out of 35K writers became a member. We identified over 300 plagiarisers and Medium quickly removed them but the recent incidents are more sophisticated. I don't know how they can access drafts of writers. We have no control on it as it is managed by Medium. However I know that if a writer has link of an article they can see the content. It is a feature on Medium. So theymight be using random link generators to find stories. Mike wrote an eye opening story related to your situation.
