I still have some confusion about claps on Medium. Recently I noticed that when I am clapping for the article responses the claps I provide do not take place however I am able to clap full articles. Do I run out of claps for responses or whether there is a restriction?

I sent a service request to the Medium support team but no response so far. In fact, so far no responses were provided to any my my inquires by the support team. Wondering whether they exist or ignoring my unusual questions?
