Excellent piece. I agree with all these points. Some of us do all them and more but still have very few views. Even though writers can do their best, if distribution systems do not pick programmed content, not many readers can have a chance to see them. If the problem is reading times I would say writers need to make improvement as you suggest but if the views are scarce, there are problems beyond writers' control.
